WHAT DOES A JUSTICE OF THE PEACE DO?
The Justice of the Peace handles everyday legal matters that directly affect people in the community, such as small claims disputes, landlord-tenant cases, traffic tickets, school truancy and we marry people. The JP court is meant to be more accessible and less intimidating, providing fair and practical resolutions.
Election Day: Tuesday, March 3, 2026 from 7am to 7pm
Voting will be precinct based, requiring voters to vote at their assigned party’s polling place.
